Before the release of Android 12 Developer Preview 1 earlier this week, we learned that Google was working on a system to apply a color theme to supported third-party apps. This system allows you to create a custom theme that matches your current wallpaper. While this feature isn’t working in the pre-release version of Android 12 that’s already out there, a developer has managed to get it to work, offering a first look at Android 12’s new wallpaper-based theming system. Here’s a Developer shared album showing how to set a wallpaper and have Android 12 apply a background color for the notification panel and quick settings.
