The question and answer between Facebook and Apple. After Facebook had published the pages of some newspapers, now Mark Zuckerberg’s platform has gone on the counterattack with an advertising spot in which it promotes personalized advertisements.

The timing is not accidental since in the coming weeks the Cupertino giant will proceed with the iOS 14.5 release, the new major update for iOS 14 which will not only include the new unlocking system with the mask, but will make it mandatory for Facebook and third-party apps to show users a notification in which it will ask them for consent to be tracked. If users consent, the tracking system will come into play which will allow companies to collect information on users’ interests and habits to provide personalized ads.

Facebook in the spot called “Good Ideas Deserve to Be Found”, which will air for 12 weeks on major US television networks, shows how small businesses don’t have the tools to grow without personalized ads. Mark Zuckerberg’s company explains that ads help people find what they love and what they think is “cool”.

Alongside the advertising companion, Facebook has also introduced a number of changes to the advertising platform to make it easier to use personalized marketing plans through an improved dashboard that will give quicker access to a campaign’s performance.
