LG has just announced at its CES 2021 a project that has been buzzing about for a while: your first roll-up mobile. The company, after officially presenting the LG Wing, continues to bet on proposals with quite different formats.
In this case, the LG Rollable rolls up automatically, going from a traditional form factor to a much wider mobile with a larger screen. This phone, of which only a few seconds have been shown on video, has a system that allows the panel to roll into the device.
One of the most different mobiles of the moment
Specifically, the terminal has a screen diagonal of 6.4 inches when rolled and 7.4 inches unrolled, as previously leaked. The edges of the panel are straight and, at the moment, no news on the rest of your hardware.
In the short video that LG has shown we can see the flexible OLED panel rolling up. Unlike some folding, the LG Rollable looks like a standard mobile when rolled up, with a form factor similar to that of any other phone.
When deployed, it is more like a small tablet, since the mobile grows in width when the panel is deployed from the inside. For the moment, LG has not revealed more information about this phone, nor has he put on the table when we can see his official presentation.
