Filmin is a 100% Spanish platform that in recent months it has seen great growth thanks to the months of confinement but, also, of that word of mouth that is produced by those who have already tried it. A space far from the great spotlights of the stars and blockbusters that hides little gems in its catalog, both for series, films and documentaries.
Precisely, one of its strengths is the constant arrival of award-winning content in international festivals, and that they escape from that circuit of majors that usually fill all the exhibition windows. Thanks to platforms like Filmin, we have a free hand to explore a huge catalog that this month is augmented with some really interesting productions. It is the case of “Joseph”, best European film of 2020 who comes to tell us the story of a Republican refugee in the concentration camps of occupied France.
What’s more, we will have a series of Universal classics, with “Jaws” at the helm, Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece which will also be accompanied by “The Price of Power”, “Wild Heart”, “The Game”, “Flash Gordon” and “In the Name of Cain”. In the part of the series, Filmin returns to bet on very worked and quality productions such as “Shadow Lines”, with two seasons in which they tell us a story of espionage in the middle of the Cold War in a bordering territory with both sides as it was Finland.
They also arrive this month three seasons of “This Country”, one of the most acclaimed British productions in recent years and has been recognized at the BAFTA awards. Its format uses mockumentary to show the lives of its two protagonists, Kerry and Lee “Kurtan” Mucklowe, who happen to be cousins.
