Mayor of South Dublin County Council Councillor Vicki Casserly will officially launch the South Dublin County Council Social Inclusion Festival on Friday 15 November 2019 at 12.00 pm in Tallaght Stadium.

Our special guest for the launch will be Bernard Dunne, Irish former professional boxer and a former WBA, and European Super Bantamweight champion. RAMS in Rhythm Active Retired Choir will provide the musical entertainment for the afternoon. This is a free ticket only event so please book early to avoid disappointment. Social Inclusion Festival provides us with the platform to highlight social inclusion initiatives and promote active citizenship. Social Inclusion is about creating a society where everyone experiences full and equal participation in all aspects of life.  Social Inclusion is “Everyone’s Business”.

During the festival there will be a varied programme of events including a Tidy minds workshop, Mental Health Workshop, Tour of Pearse Museum, Fun creativity workshops at the Towers Direct Provision Centre, English/Irish conversations sessions, Annette Halpin Memorial Annual Tea Dance, Sensory-Friendly Activities for people with disabilities, Celebration of Social Inclusion through the Performing Arts in the Civic Theatre, Traditional Irish Music Workshop, Food Cloud Warehouse tours and much more.
