Twitter launched the Fleets late last year, its way to call the Stories, those contents that disappear within 24 hours of their publication and that mainly consist of photographs or videos in vertical format, although tweets can also be shared.
Twitter adds the possibility of including stickers in its Stories for all users, both iOS and Android
At first, its functionalities were very limited -especially compared to Instagram Stories, for example, which incorporate dozens of possibilities, stickers, music, different fonts … – but little by little Twitter is adding news and new configuration options . For example, the ability to restrict direct message responses to Fleets was recently added, which annoyed many users.
Now Twitter adds a new function that will allow personalize and add dynamism to the fleets. At last the stickers reach their stories, as the company has announced through its official Twitter account.
The stickers are already available for both the Fleets in the iOS Twitter app and on Android, for the almost 200 million daily users that the social network has. To use them, all you have to do is create a Fleet as before, in the usual way, and click on the smiley face icon which is located at the bottom of the screen.
When you do this, you will see a series of animated Twitter stickers, as well as different emojis. A search bar is also displayed at the top of the screen and you can use it to find and add GIF files related to what you want to post.
Curiously, Twitter not only uses Tenor’s image bank when looking for GIFs, but also uses those of Giphy, one of the main repositories of GIF files in the world and which was acquired by Facebook in May of last year.
