It is no mystery that TikTok is one of the most downloaded apps in general. It is not very surprising, therefore, that the ranking of the beginning of 2021 relating to the most profitable apps can be seen the Chinese social network in the lead. Below are other particularly popular software.
In fact, according to what was reported by Cult of Mac and as can be read in the Sensor Tower report, in second place in the ranking of the most profitable apps in general (non-gaming) in January 2021 there is Piccoma, a name that we do not says a lot but actually represents a popular Japanese manga-related subscription service. The third place is instead occupied by an app well known also in our country: YouTube. The fourth place on Tinder, while following are Tencent Video, Disney +, iQIYI, LINE, LINE Manga and Google One.
As regards, however, the ranking relative only to the App Store, in first place we always find TikTok, while YouTube and Tinder complete the podium. Following are Tencent Video, iQIYI, Piccoma, Disney +, LINE Manga, Netflix and LINE.
Note the differences with the ranking linked exclusively to the Play Store, which instead features Google One in the lead, followed by Piccoma and Disney +. The next positions are occupied by LINE, Twitch, BIGO LIVE, ESPN, Line Manga, Tinder and Pandora.
As for the figures involved, for TikTok it is 128 million dollars, an increase of 3.8 times over last year. Piccoma’s numbers are also quite high: 96 million dollars (6.9 times more than in January 2020).
